Rigging & Setup
- A low pull helps the front axle helps pull the tractor-trailer over (that’s where the weight is).
- Stay with in the Working Load Limit of the rigging.
- The strongest part of any box is the corners. This is where you want your straps to come over.
- In a one lane up-righting, the close you get to the casualty, the easier it is on your truck.
- When the high lines go limp it is time to stop winching. This is when the control vehicle carries the weight.
- When performing an up-righting, the tractor should ALWAYS be leading the trailer. The tractor weight helps you roll the trailer over.
