STEPS FOR TRANSPORT BY WHEEL LIFT TRUCK
  1.  Place bike’s transmission in neutral whenever possible.

  2. Do not lock steering.

  3. Remove the keys from the motorcycle’s ignition so they don’t get lost in transport.

  4. Shut the fuel off, if possible.

  5. Make sure the camlocks on windscreen are secure, or remove the windscreen and put in your cab.

  6. Check the screws holding the seats to ensure they’re secure, or remove the seats and put in your cab.

  7. Check that any saddlebags are secure.

  8.  Secure the bike using an endless loop at the front of the bike around the yoke and at the rear of the bike. Attach each endless loop to a winch line off the boom.

  9. Raise the boom so the bike is off the ground.

  10. Fully extend the under-reach.

  11. Ensure the under-reach can’t rotate back and forth by attaching the secondary attachment chains to the under-reach and setting them at the proper length.

  12. Adjust the height of the boom so the wheels can be secured to the under-reach.

  13. Secure the bike to the under-reach with two straps, one that goes around the under-reach and the front tire, and a second strap securing the under-reach to the rear tire.

  14. Install stop, turn and tail lights.
CAUTIONS

When securing the straps, stay clear of all wiring, brake lines and other cabling. Protect exhaust guards, belt guards and other fragile parts that could be crushed or damaged by the straps by double-wrapping more stable components nearby, for example foot pegs.

To protect the seat or any chrome, plastic or paint, use a wet sponge underneath the strap or use a wool seatbelt cover around the strap.

Leave the kickstand down during transport so that when you lower the bike to unload it, the stand is down to support the bike in an upright position.
