Section 2: Resistance
For quite a few years the towing industry has never really put value into figuring out what it took to make something move. We would just go hook on to it and if it moved it moved. If something broke, we went out and got a bigger truck and came back and did the job.
There are tools available to us to figure out what it takes to set something in motion or to move it. Contrary to what we have always thought- we are moving all of the weight, but we don’t have to put that much force against it to make it move.
The importance of knowing what you are pulling, is so you can stay with in the working load limits of the tools that you are using and be very successful at the job you are doing.
