Section 4: Uprighting
In this module we’re going to go over the technique of up-righting a heavy-duty commercial vehicle with one tow truck using only one lane of traffic. The graphic that you’re seeing here demonstrates that a commercial vehicle has rolled over onto its side and is now resting on the shoulder of the highway.
We’re going to establish that we can up-right this tractor and trailer using a single heavy-duty tow truck. This procedure is best done on a commercial vehicle with less than 10,000 pounds of cargo in the box.
