CHECKING THE NO’S
When checking your NO’s, look at the high-line rigging to make sure that it doesn’t have an angle included in it.
✓ CHECK THE SIGHT LINE
from the bottom of the rigging all the way up to the top of the boom. If there is an angle, adjust and position accordingly.
✓ MAKE SURE THE BUS HAS A CLEAR PATH TO LAND
You don’t want it to hit any part of the wrecker or the rigging when it comes to it’s wheels.
✓ TIE THE HOOD SHUT
as a preventative measure to make sure the hood doesn’t come open while it’s being up-righted.
✓ CHECK THE FRONT RIGGING
Are all of the hooks installed properly? Is the chain firmly seated? Is the chain touching anything that could break, such as brake lines or components?
✓ CHECK THE BOTTOM SIDE RIGGING
Is the strapping properly seated and protected?
✓ CRIBBING
Is the cribbing still in the proper position?
✓ CHECK THE HIGH LINE RIGGING
on the top side of the casualty. Is there anything on the casualty that can damage the rigging?
