TOWING PROCEDURE
THE ATTACHMENT POINT FOR THIS VEHICLE IS TOW PIN ONLY.
Attachment to any other component is prohibited.
THE TOW PIN IS STORED IN THE FRONT TRUNK TOOL KIT
Remove the tow pin cover and store that in a safe place inside the vehcile.
THREAD THE TOW PIN INTO THE RECIEVER
Use a tool to confirm that it is tight to the frame rail.
THE USE OF A LEAD STRAP AND CATCH STRAP IS HIGHLY RECOMENDED TO AVOID DAMAGE.
A snatchblock is recommended to reduce the angle load on the tow pin.
Warning: the control arms are not a viable attachment point for loading this vehicle.
HERE A COUPLE OF VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:
In order to load this vehicle for transport you will need to chock your wheels, release the parking brake, and manually release the gear-box.
To release the parking brake, pull the lever with the symbol ‘P’ while holding brake pedal until the warning light turns off. If the parking brake will not release, you will need to skate the vehicle.
WARNING
Manual release of the calipers is to be performed only by a certified technician. The provided will be held liable for performing manual brake release.
GEAR BOX OVERRIDE
The SF90 has a gear-box emergency release tool. Here is how to access it:
Remove the 2 piece override tool from the tool kit in the front trunk. Assemble the wrench and extension by using the fastening clip.
To access the engine compartment, pull the release lever on the lower driver door frame.
Insert the wrench into the shoot opening on the trim panel, and insert it into the release receiver. Turn the wrench counter-clockwise for a quarter turn to release the gear box.
This vehicle has a front-lift system. Activating the front-lift system will help gain additional clearance to help load the vehicle.
The lift system button is located on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel.
WARNING
If you see an error code displaying system failure for “light system inhibited”, check for fluid hydraulic leaks before performing override. Override procedure: hold lift system button for 10 seconds.
