Winch Rating
NOTE
A center drive style of winch will Pull Less with a Full Drum of wire rope.
REMEMBER
5 wraps of wire rope MUST be on the winch drum before winching begins.
As shown below on the winch and line pull ratings charts, at no time will any one single line or any one single leg of a multi-line lay-up have a W.L.L. equal to or greater than the winch’s posted layer ratings and line pull. This applies to; horizontal winching or vertical lifting, while using the manufacturer’s recommended size and grade; EIPS (extra improved plow steel), of steel or fiber core wire rope for the winch.
