DON’T PUT OTHERS IN A BAD SITUATION
To repeat the previous lesson, you can’t control what other drivers around you are doing, you can only control your own truck. That means it is your responsibility to not put other drivers or pedestrians in harm’s way.
Driving at a safe speed for the road conditions, staying in the center of your lane and maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead of you are all ways you can prevent putting other drivers in a bad situation, but it doesn’t stop there.
Think of situations such as turning onto a busy roadway. If you make that turn, will it cause other vehicles to slow down while you complete your turn? Any time you impede the flow of traffic you could be putting others in a bad situation.
