MIRE RESISTANCE
When the casualties are encountering material that makes contact with the tires, wheels, or body.
TIRE DEPTH
When a vehicle is mired at a depth covering the lower part of the side-wall of the tire, but not above the bottom of the wheel rim. The resistance may be estimated as up to 75% or .75 of the vehicle’s weight.
WHEEL DEPTH
When a vehicle is mired at a depth above the bottom of the wheel rim up to the center of the wheel rim. The resistance may be estimated as up to 100% or 1.0 of the vehicles weight.
BODY DEPTH
When a vehicle is mired above the center of the wheel rim or above the suspension brake components or above the rocker panels. The resistance may be estimated as up to 150% or 1.5 of the vehicle’s weight.
